At Travel Unbounded USA, we curate bespoke travel experiences, wildlife safaris, and exclusive journeys with meticulous planning. Due to the nature of our services and pre-committed supplier costs, specific cancellation and refund policies apply depending on the destination and season. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to contact@travelunbounded.us.
⚠ Important — Applies to All Bookings
Due to the advance commitments required for safari lodges and tented camps, Kenya and Africa packages carry the following cancellation schedule:
Standard Season
Peak Season
Minimum advance booking: 60 days (standard season), 90 days (peak season).
FIT Bookings (Up to 6 Passengers)
GIT Bookings (7 Passengers or More)
Minimum advance booking: 60 days for all international destinations.
Wildlife packages require significant advance commitments to forest lodges and permit allocations. The following applies where no non-refundable deposits have been made:

Minimum advance booking: 120 days (peak season), 90 days (standard season).
The initial token/deposit amount paid at the time of booking is non-refundable in all cases.
Leisure Package Cancellation Schedule
Blackout dates include but are not limited to: Dec 22–Jan 2, Easter weekend, and other designated peak periods.
Where no destination-specific policy applies, the following standard schedule is used:
Peak season and festival period bookings may be subject to a 100% cancellation fee regardless of notice period. This will be specified in your booking confirmation.
How to Request a Refund
All refund requests must be submitted in writing to contact@travelunbounded.us with your booking reference, the reason for cancellation, and any supporting documentation.
Eligibility
Refunds are subject to the applicable cancellation schedule above. The service must not have been fully or partially used. The request must comply with the specific terms applicable to your booking.
Non-Refundable Conditions
Refunds will not be issued for: no-shows without prior written notice; last-minute cancellations within the non-refundable window; non-refundable promotional bookings; payment processing fees; or administrative fees.
Processing Timeline
Approved refunds are processed within 7–14 business days from the date of written approval. Refunds are credited to the original payment method in USD. For bookings made through third-party agents, processing times may vary.
Payment Processing Fees
All Stripe payment processing fees and any bank wire charges are non-refundable and are borne by the customer in all cases, including approved cancellations.
Force Majeure
In the event of cancellations caused by natural disasters, pandemics, government travel restrictions, political unrest, or other force majeure events, refunds will be handled on a case-by-case basis in accordance with individual supplier policies and applicable US law. We will make every reasonable effort to secure credits or rescheduling options on your behalf.
Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
